Randy Russon serves as a CFO to our clients and is the founder of TOP CFOS. Prior to this, Randy pursued successful entrepreneurial paths in accounting, manufacturing, and retailing.
TOP CFOS provides all the services that a top-level CFO would provide to any firm. Randy is very talented when it comes to reviewing a firm’s financials and has tremendous insight into the numbers and what they mean on financial statements. This is one of his greatest strengths: seeing opportunities to maximize profits and guide companies to higher levels of success. Working with winning companies, he loves to be the catalyst behind soaring profits.
In July 2012, Randy was appointed to the board of directors of Downtown Provo, Inc. Then, he served as chairman of the board in 2013. The mission of Downtown Provo is to revitalize the downtown district of Provo, Utah. With Randy’s key insights into creating value, his talents on the board have been most welcome. Randy also pursued successful entrepreneurial paths prior to founding TOP CFOS.
Born in Provo, Utah, Randy attended Brigham Young University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in finance. He continues to be an avid reader of books on corporate finance. When Randy is not serving clients, he loves the absolute beauty of the great Utah outdoors. He spends a lot of time with his son four-wheeling, camping, and hiking.
Management & Staff
Kyle Nordhagen serves as a financial analyst at TOP CFOS. Prior to joining the team, Kyle worked as a sponsor liaison with Crafted Beats Productions, a local DJ firm, where he did financial analyses, identified profitable ventures, and managed their general ledger. He is certified as an advanced tax preparer by the IRS. With this certification, Kyle worked in the VITA program as a tax preparer.
Kyle’s organizational skills and attention to detail make him a valuable player in serving TOP CFOS clients’ needs. He is currently pursuing a masters of accountancy degree at Brigham Young University on scholarship. He is married and enjoys outdoor activities, especially lacrosse, golf, and basketball.
Client Services Representative
Scott Russon serves as a client services representative at TOP CFOS. In the past, Scott has ventured down many entrepreneurial paths from selling lemonade to writing his own e-book on Amazon. He has a big passion for business and is self-motivated to keep trying until the task is finished.
Recently Scott returned from serving a two-year LDS mission in Mexico. While serving there, he learned Spanish and is grateful for the opportunity to communicate with a wider range of people. While on his mission, Scott served as a leader of approximately 150 other missionaries.
In the fall of 2018, Scott will be attending Utah Valley University. He will be pursuing a bachelor of science degree in business management at the Woodbury School of Business. Scott loves the outdoors and enjoys recreational activities, especially basketball, four-wheeling, and camping.
Jacob Stewart, JD, is a professional tax adviser. He works with business owners and their CPAs to help them apply a variety of planning tools that will significantly reduce their tax burden.
Prior to joining our team, Jacob spent several years working as the chief tax and asset protection consultant for a large asset-protection company. In that capacity, Jacob has helped hundreds of medical professionals and other small business owners across the country reduce their taxes and protect their assets. Through his interactions with CPAs, attorneys, and financial planners nationwide, Jacob has gained unique exposure to a large variety of tax planning tools and strategies.
Jacob obtained his juris doctorate degree from George Mason’s law school in Arlington, Virginia. Because of his education and experience, Jacob is able to look at a client’s situation from multiple perspectives and involve asset protection, tax considerations, estate planning, and financial planning in his recommendations to clients.
In addition to his law degree, Jacob has a FINRA Series 65 (investment adviser) certification and has both life and health insurance licenses. He is also licensed to practice law in Utah. Jacob and his wife have five children. Jacob loves spending time with his family, serving in his local congregation, reading, playing racquetball, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He also speaks fluent Spanish and French.
Omar Widdup is a consultant and has strategically partnered with TOP CFOS as a tax adviser. Omar has a rich background in business and tax, which includes working as an accountant for local and international corporations as well as local CPA firms. He is an entrepreneur at heart and has been involved in the formation of local and international businesses for the last three years.
Omar is passionate about helping business owners improve their accounting systems and business strategies. His specialties include FBAR filing, international tax, partnerships, partnerships with foreign partners, and S-Corps.
Omar’s educational accomplishments are quite impressive. He graduated from Southern Utah University with both a master of accountancy degree in taxation/audit and an MBA. Previously he earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Brigham Young University. In addition, he earned a Global Management Certificate from BYU, which allows him to connect with a wide range of business owners and provide consulting services in various industries.
Board of Advisors
Jose Inclan serves as an advisor to TOP CFOS. Jose also co-founded Inclan Interactive in 2009. Prior to this, Jose served as marketing manager for Costco.
Inclan Interactive provides technology solutions for small- to medium-sized companies helping them save time, effort, and resources. Jose brings a lot of talent to the table as co-founder of Inclan Interactive. He is very much aware of the many technology problems business owners face and utilizes SAAS to serve their needs.
In February 2015, Jose was invited to serve on the board of advisors for TOP CFOS. Jose has a lot of business acumen and brings many insights to the board. These insights always translate into offering greater value to our clients. Jose also loves to volunteer and be actively involved in the community. He currently serves on the boards of two local non-profits and teaches American government at Utah Valley University.
Born in Mexico City, Jose attended the University of Utah where he earned two bachelor of arts degrees, one in political science and the other in film studies. Later on, Jose went back to the University of Utah where he earned an MBA with an emphasis in marketing. Jose loves to travel, play racquetball, and spend time with his family.
Hyrum Oaks serves as an advisor to TOP CFOS. Hyrum is the creator and race director of the Utah Valley Marathon (named one of the top ten races in the country by Runner’s World Magazine and named the small business of the year by the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2013). Hyrum created the race as a student at Brigham Young University in 2008 and grew the race from 240 participants the first year to over 7,200 participants by 2012. Hyrum also created the Phoenix Marathon.
Hyrum received a business degree from BYU with an emphasis in recreation management. He is the founder and current CEO of RaceEntry.com, a race registration platform that provides race management tools for thousands of races from all fifty states.
Bill Cox serves as an advisor to TOP CFOS. Bill currently serves as a database manager for Aristotle, a firm “recognized as the leading pioneer in political technology, servicing many of the largest grassroots organizations, PACs, and political campaigns in the US and abroad.”
Bill has a rich entrepreneurial background in business. Most recently, Bill was founder and CEO of Streamvest International, Inc., a firm managing foreign currency investment funds as professional commodity trading advisors. Prior to this, Bill founded the Trader’s Academy and Crystal Forex, which provided online trading education and coaching services in stocks, options, and foreign currency trading. While attending school for his undergraduate degree, Bill formed a real estate investment company that he operated for seven years and purchased over twenty-five properties.
In March 2015, Bill was invited to serve on the board of advisors for TOP CFOS. Bill’s active, energetic approach to business brings an important dimension to the board. Born in Englewood, California, Bill attended Brigham Young University where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business management and travel. Bill loves to invent and develop new companies. He also loves to play basketball , do archery, and spend time with his five children. Bill’s goal is to go back to his Southern California roots and retire on a beach someday.
