Dave is a senior-level financial executive with over 23 years of proven leadership and performance. Dave has over 15 years of hands-on experience serving as the CFO, EVP finance, COO and president of private corporations. Dave has served companies in various industries including but not limited to Financial Technology / Cloud Saas, Real Estate Development, Operations & Investing, Home Health Care, Internet Based /e-Commerce, Real Estate Title Insurance, Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Tax Planning, Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Management Consulting.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dave attended the University of Utah – David Eccles School of Business, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Then, he obtained his MBA from Westminster College – Gore School of Business. Dave went on to graduate from Harvard Business School’s OPM/Owner President Management program. In Dave’s spare time, he loves to spend time with his family, detailing cars, playing ice hockey and doing CrossFit.
Aleki Tuivai serves as a value added CFO to our clients’. Aleki’s strengths are accounting process improvements, data analysis, cash flow forecasting, and business planning. He is definitely a team player who will bring value to the table to any firm who wants to scale.
Seasoned Finance Chief Creates Shareholder Value
Aleki recently served as CFO at Squiala First Nation in British Columbia, Canada. As chief financial officer, Aleki managed over 12 million dollars of real estate holdings and development. He implemented a new accounting system, performed financial analysis, and recommended changes for improved cash flow. This resulted in improved frequency of cash distribution to partners from annual to quarterly. During Aleki’s term as CFO, he also served on the board of directors for the Eagle Landing Development LP, which held assets of over 70 million dollars. Aleki also served as finance manager to lead a financial rescue effort to re-establish the financial health of the Spuzzum First Nation, in British Columbia, Canada. The organization had been underperforming for over three years. Through Aleki’s efforts, he implemented a management plan that restored financial health to the firm in less than two years. The result was that annual operating cash flow was increased by 150%.
Born in Tonga, Aleki attended Brigham Young University – Hawaii where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. In 2006, he attended the University of Phoenix where he received his MBA with an emphasis in accounting. In his spare time, Aleki likes to spend time with his wife and six boys going fishing, camping, and collecting shells on the beaches.
Randy Russon serves as a CFO to our clients’, along with being TOP CFOS founder. Prior to this, Randy pursued successful entrepreneurial paths in accounting, manufacturing, and retailing.

He has tremendous insight into the numbers and what they mean on financial statements. Working with winning companies, he loves to be the catalyst behind soaring profits.
On July 18, 2012, Randy was appointed to the board of directors of Downtown Provo, Inc. Then, he served as chairman of the board in 2013. The mission of Downtown Provo is to revitalize the downtown district of Provo, Utah. With Randy’s key insights into creating value, his talents on the board have been most welcome. Randy also pursued successful entrepreneurial paths prior to founding TOP CFOS.
Born in Provo, Utah, Randy attended Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He continues to be an avid reader of books on corporate finance. When Randy is not serving clients, he loves the absolute beauty of the great Utah outdoors. He spends a lot of time with his son 4-wheeling, camping, and hiking.
Management & Staff
Mitch Owens serves as TOP CFOS’ marketing director.
Mitch’s experience and skills bring great value to the TOP CFOS team. Prior to joining the Company, Mitch helped create a real-estate tech startup where he directed the organization’s marketing efforts. He also led another tech startup in account development where he opened their international market in the Asia Pacific region.
Mitch served as a full-time volunteer representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Australia from December 2011 to December 2013.
Originally from Orlando, Florida, Mitch currently resides in Provo where he graduated with a Bachelors in English Literature at Brigham Young University. Mitch is an Eagle Scout and enjoys Scuba Diving, music composition, and organizing social events.
Kyle serves as a financial analyst at TOP CFOS.
Prior to joining the TOP CFOS team, Kyle worked as a sponsor liaison with Crafted Beats Productions, a local DJ firm, where he did financial analysis, identified profitable ventures, and managed their general ledger. He is certified as an advanced tax preparer by the IRS. With this certification, Kyle worked in the VITA program as a tax preparer. Kyle’s organizational skills and attention to detail make him a valuable player in serving TOP CFOS clients’ needs.
Kyle is currently pursuing a Masters of Accountancy degree at BYU on scholarship. He is married and enjoys outdoor activities – especially lacrosse, golf, and basketball.
Jacob Stewart, JD is a professional tax adviser. He works with business owners and their CPAs to help them apply a variety of planning tools that will significantly reduce their tax burden.
Prior to joining our team, Jacob spent several years working as the chief tax and asset protection consultant for a large asset-protection company. In that capacity, Jacob has helped hundreds of medical professionals and other small business owners across the country reduce their taxes and protect their assets. Through his interactions with CPAs, attorneys, and financial planners nationwide, Jacob has gained unique exposure to a large variety of tax planning tools and strategies.
Jacob obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from George Mason Law School. Because of his education and experience, Jacob is able to look at a client’s situation from multiple perspectives and involve asset protection, tax considerations, estate planning, and financial planning in his recommendations to clients.
In addition to his law degree, Jacob has a FINRA Series 65 (investment adviser) certification and has both life and health insurance licenses. He is also licensed to practice law in Utah.
Jacob and his wife have five children. Jacob loves spending time with his family, serving in his church, reading, playing racquetball, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He also speaks fluent Spanish and French.
Omar Widdup is a consultant and has strategically partnered with TOP CFOS providing services as a tax adviser.
Omar has a rich background in business and tax. It includes years working as an accountant for local and international corporations as well for local CPA firms providing consulting and tax services. He is an entrepreneur at heart and has been involved in the formation of local and international businesses for the last three years. Omar is passionate about helping business owners to improve their accounting systems and business strategies. His specialties include FBAR filing, international tax, partnerships, partnerships with foreign partners, and S-Corps.
Omar’s educational accomplishments are quite impressive. He graduated from Southern Utah University with both a Master of Accountancy in Taxation/Audit and an MBA. Previously, he earned a BS in Accounting from BYU. In addition, he earned a Global Management Certificate from BYU as well, which allows him to connect with a wide range of business owners and provide consulting services in many different industries.
Board of Advisors
Jose Inclan serves as an advisor to TOP CFOS. Jose also co-founded Inclan Interactive in 2009. Prior to this, Jose served as marketing manager for Costco.
Inclan Interactive provides technology solutions for small- to medium-size companies, helping them to save time, effort, and resources. Jose brings so much talent to the table as co-founder of Inclan Interactive. He is very much aware of the many technology problems business owners face and utilizes SAAS to serve their needs.
On February 24, 2015, Jose was invited to serve on the board of advisors for TOP CFOS. Jose has a lot of business acumen and brings so many highly valued insights to the board which are much appreciated. These insights always translate into offering greater value to TOP CFOS’ clients. Jose also loves to volunteer and be actively involved in the community. He currently serves on the boards of two local non-profits and teaches American government at Utah Valley University.
Born in Mexico City, Jose attended the University of Utah where he earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in political science and another in film studies. Later on, Jose went back to the University of Utah where he earned an MBA with an emphasis in marketing. Jose loves to travel, play racquetball, and spend time with his family.
Hyrum Oaks serves as an advisor to TOP CFOS. Hyrum Oaks is the creator and race director of the Utah Valley Marathon (named one of the top ten races in the country by Runner’s World Magazine and named the small business of the year by the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2013). Hyrum created the race as a BYU student in 2008 and grew the race from 240 participants the first year to over 7,200 participants by 2012. Hyrum also created the Phoenix Marathon.
Hyrum received a business degree from BYU with an emphasis in recreation management. He is the founder and current CEO of RaceEntry.com, a race registration platform that provides race management tools for thousands of races from all 50 states.
Bill Cox serves as an advisor to TOP CFOS. Bill currently serves as a database manager for Aristotle, a firm “recognized as the leading pioneer in political technology, servicing many of the largest grassroots organizations, PACs, and political campaigns in the US and abroad.”
Bill has a rich entrepreneurial background in business. Most recently, Bill was founder and CEO of Streamvest International, Inc., a firm managing foreign currency investment funds as professional commodity trading advisors. Prior to this, Bill founded the Trader’s Academy and Crystal Forex, which provided online trading education and coaching services in stocks, options, and foreign currency trading. While attending school for his undergraduate degree, Bill formed a real estate investment company which he operated for seven years and purchased over 25 properties.
In March of 2015, Bill was invited to serve on the board of advisors for TOP CFOS. Bill’s active, energetic approach to business brings an important dimension to the board.
Born in Englewood, California, Bill attended Brigham Young University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and travel. Bill loves to invent and develop new companies. He also loves to play basketball , do archery, and spend time with his five children. Bill’s goal is to go back to his Southern California roots and retire on a beach someday.
